Specialized IT Consultant - Senior
Responsibilities Works in partnership with clients, advising them on
information technology in order to meet their business objectives or
overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an
organization’s I&IT systems. The I&IT Consultant may be used to
provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information
Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of
major business processes through enhancements to IT. Provides subject
matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical
assistance. General Skills Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all
aspects of a specific deliverable Provide the quality
assurance/quality control of specific deliverables Anticipates and
resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within
budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations
Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables
Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations,
implementation plans, etc. Works with clients to define the scope of a
project and to determine requirements Defines software, hardware and
network requirements Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and
objective advice on the use of I&IT Designs, tests, installs and
monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new
systems Familiar with change-management principles and methodology

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Project Management Experience: 25%
Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in project
management, Project Planning, Resource Management, Governance, Risk
Management and Change Management.
Experience in developing project plans, defining objectives, scope,
deliverables, and timelines.
Allocating resources (staff, financial, and technological) efficiently
to achieve project goals.
Identifying potential risks and creating contingency plans to address them.
Monitoring project expenses and ensuring they stay within the allocated budget.
Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required standards and
client expectations.
Managing and motivating project teams, assigning tasks, and resolving
conflicts; Cross Training to project and team members
Regularly tracking project status and providing updates to stakeholders.
Adapting to changes in project requirements and ensuring that the
project remains on track.
Reviewing project outcomes and conducting a post-production assessment
to identify lessons learned for future projects.
Knowledge of application development methodologies, techniques and methods.
Knowledge using tools to support Web Accessibility testing in support
of AODA legislation
Knowledge and experience working in Agile-Scrum environment, using
standard and DevOps processes and tools

Project Management Technical Experience: 25%
Experience in managing multiple projects involving partnership with
the vendor and clients in the development client solutions or
enhancing existing ones. This would include coordinating with
developers, conducting requirement analysis, overseeing testing
phases, and ensuring timely delivery.
Knowledge and experience with OpenText Content Suite and other
OpenText Products.
Knowledge of the systems development cycle (SDLC), software test life
cycle (STLC), project management.
Experience in handling projects focused on IT infrastructure. This
involves working closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to
ensure smooth implementation.
Experience overseeing the implementation of new IT projects or
enterprise software across the organization. This requires careful
planning, user training, and change management to ensure successful
adoption.
Experience in managing projects related to cybersecurity. This
involves working with security experts to identify vulnerabilities and
implement necessary safeguards.
Experience leading projects to migrate from on-premises services to
cloud-based solutions, considering factors like scalability, cost
optimization, and data integrity.
Experience guiding, developing strategies for digital transformation
initiatives, which might involve adopting new technologies and
modernizing existing processes.
Experience in collaborating with external vendors and service
providers to ensure they meet project objectives and service level
agreements.
Experience in creating and managing project budgets, monitoring
expenses, and optimizing resource utilization.
Experience in communicating with various clients, including
executives, users, and team members, to align project objectives and
keep them informed of progress.
Experience identifying potential project risks, assessing their
impact, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including project
plans, Letter of agreements, status reports, meeting minutes, and
lessons learned.
Incorporating lessons learned from previous projects into future
initiatives to improve project management processes.

Proficiently presenting ideas and suggestions in a user-friendly
manner, while maintaining a high level of customer service for both
internal and external clients. Facilitating transparent communication
among team members, stakeholders, and higher management to ensure
everyone is well-informed about project progress and potential issues.
